WEST RICHLAND — Tri-City Raceway will open its 2026 season April 11-12 with the Bonney’s TYM Tractors Apple Cup Presented by Legends Casino Hotel, one of the Northwest’s most iconic short track races, bringing top drivers from across the West Coast together for a two-day event.
After 17 years being closed and gathering desert dust, the tri-oval half-mile that was first opened in 1968 reopened in 2021. Following the closure of Yakima Speedway, events such as the Apple Cup and Fall Classic shifted to TCR.
The preliminary entry list includes one former race champion in Jason Jefferson who captured the 2003 title.

CARS Tour West Pro Late Models, $7,500 to win, Hobby Stocks and Speedtour Modifieds
Sunday, April 12
Northwest Super Late Model Series Apple Cup 125, $10,000 to win
Vintage Modifieds and Ministocks
Saturday also marks the season opener for the CARS Tour West, with rising driver Keelan Harvick expected to compete.
First held in 1967, the Apple Cup remains a longstanding Northwest racing tradition.
