Jolly Roger Tops Webb’s Slough Racing Program

ST. JOHN, Wash. — Eric Werner and Jennifer Farmer from Arlington, Wash. made the jump to the Unlimited class a successful in June 20 in the opening race of the 20th season of sprint boat racing at Webb’s Slough.

Their Jolly Roger boat topped the Instant Velocity team of Kyle and Chris St. Onge, and also snapped the two-race 2025 streak in the class of Pure Insanity from Lewiston, Idaho.

Jolly Roger competed in and won the 400 Class race in last year’s opening race at Webb’s.

The Preventing Insanity team piloted by Leighton Lillie and Sami Gustafson, also from Lewiston, collected the 400 class win, topping Nuckin Futz with Brad Cassell and Dakota Hembach from Spokane Valley. They have two consecutive St. John wins.

Spokane’s Overkill boat with Dennis Hughes and Sam Hughes-Kryzsko at the controls have now produced wins of two of the last three Modified class events. Pour Decisions with Jason and Denise Perkins from Cheney were runners up.

Racing returne to St. John, Aug. 29.
