EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. — On May 30 Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval had the honor of inducting “The Legend” Garrett Evans” into the WVSO Hall of Fame.
Evans’ motorsports career spans more than 50 years and includes an incredible accomplishment—winning races at WVSO in each of the last six decades.
When he, along with his parents Leonard and Joan Evans, brought new life to the Super Oval in 1999, his vision was to bring major national events to Wenatchee. That dream has become a reality.
For the past 27 years, Garrett has been part of the ownership group at WVSO. He helped launch a Super Late Model series in the Northwest when none existed, creating opportunities for racers throughout the region. On the track, his accomplishments are just as impressive, with more than 400 career feature victories across nearly every corner of the country. Yet through it all, he has always called the Wenatchee Valley home.
With all he has done for the sport, the facility, and the racing community, we felt that on such a special night it was only fitting to induct Garrett into the very Hall of Fame that he helped create.
